Green Highland is teaming up with Voith Hydro to provide operational and maintenance services for two hydropower schemes in Romania's Carpathian Mountains. These schemes comprise 12 units, and Green Highland's UK center of excellence is providing support to ensure they operate optimally.
Green Highland has installed an interface device that allows secure visibility of operations at its control center in Perth, Scotland. With this remote monitoring and assessment package, the team can measure and evaluate operations and maintenance performance to maximize output and project value.
The company is also supporting projects in Africa, including large-scale hydropower projects in Ethiopia. The company is working with local teams to improve the reliability and availability of existing projects and reduce reliance on carbon-intensive generation. This support has been made possible by the German overseas development fund.
