Key projects to be proposed for carbon credits are Dibang (3000MW), Kotli Bhel-II (520MW), Kotli Bhel Stage 1B (320MW), Kotli Bhel Stage 1A (195MW) and Vyasi (120MW).
The closing date for the tenders is 12 December.
NHPC said that the consultants would either be foreign or joint ventures of local and foreign companies.
The bidders must have experience of successfully registering at least one hydro power project for carbon credits under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) scheme, which is administered by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
