The Swedish State Electricity Board has placed a US$12.3M order for new rotor poles and the installation of two complete stators with auxiliaries at the Messaure hydro power station in northern Sweden.
Work is to begin next April, with commissioning of the refurbished generators scheduled for October 2005 and October 2006, when each generator will have an output of 160MVA.
The other order is for the supply of equipment to three small hydro plants totalling around 90MW in capacity in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
Indústria, Comércio e Administração Ltda and Koblitz S.A (ICAL) signed a US$16M deal with Alstom for the delivery of eight Kaplan horizontal turbines with speed regulators and eight generators to the Pequenas Centrais Hidroelétricas Garganta da Jararaca, Paranatinga II and Canoa-Quebrada plants.
