Located on Lower Olt river near Slatina in Romania, the turnkey project includes the supply of bulb hydro units with an output of 14MW each, together with all corresponding auxiliary installations, as well as local and remote control systems.
Ipotesti is part of the refurbishment of all hydro mechanical equipment in each of the five hydro power plants on the Lower Olt downstream of Slatina. The project scope includes a total of 20 machines to be commissioned by September 2010.
Several Romanian companies have been subcontracted by the consortium due to their long experience in manufacture, erection and services for hydro power plants, such as UCM Resita, SAEM Energomontaj, Hidroserv Slatina, and General Turbo.
