The latest contract is to build a 3.2km long tunnel again up to 4.3m wide. The first contract on the headrace, announced last month, was to build a 5km long section.
In a statement, Cavico said the value of the latest tunnelling contract is US$19.2M. Although longer, the value of the first contract is less – US$11.3M.
South Hydropower Joint Stock Co is developing the 75MW scheme for an investment of US$80M.
The project site is close to Da Huoai village, near Da Teh city in Lam Dong province, about 140km north east of Ho Chi Minh City.
