According to the Associated Press, project developers have now estimated the project will begin construction between 2014 to 2016, rather than the initially scheduled timeframe of 2013 to 2015.
Developers are currently investigating proposals for a new route for the transmission lines.
The transmission project will create a new connection between Hydro-Québec’s hydroelectric resources and the New England “power pool” that supplies electricity to all customers in the region.
