Three others – all contractor workers – were also injured in the incident. All work on site was stopped as an investigation into the cause of the accident got underway.
“It is with sadness that we received the information from Peru about the loss of one our contract workers. Our thoughts and condolences go to the family of the man. The safety of all our workers is our main concern, and we will now do a full investigation to see if all safety procedures have been adequately implemented” commented Torger Lien, CEO of SN Power.
