The company, a subsidiary of American Electric Power (AEP), is seeking 100MW of renewables generation capacity to be available and operational by the end of 2010.

Expressions of interest in the call for proposals have to be submitted by 30 April.

The hydro proposals must be certified by the Low Impact Hydropower Institute (LIHI).

The request for proposals (RFP) is part of the parent group’s plan, announced last year, to add 1GW of win or other renewable energy resource by 2011.
