Artelia Group has announced it is acquiring engineering consultancy Gantha, with whom it intends to propose new environmental services and harness synergies in the fields of acoustics, pollution dispersion and fluid mechanics.
The acquisition enables Artelia, a French independent engineering firm specialising in the fields of building construction, infrastructure, industrial facilities, water and the environment, to acquire new expertise and broaden its existing portfolio of multi-disciplinary skills. In return, thanks to its volume of business and its dense network of branch offices, Artelia is offering Gantha a significant growth opportunity.
Based in Poitiers and Bordeaux (western France), Gantha has been operating for more than 12 years in the construction, industry, energy and environment sectors with its team of about fifteen people.
As an expert in building acoustics, Gantha participates in all stages of construction and refurbishment projects from the initial assessments through to handover of the works. Its services range from studying indoor comfort and internal or external sound insulation through to protecting a neighbourhood against noise. The consultancy also specialises in environmental acoustics, and works for various players in the industry, wind power and transport sectors.
In the field of fluid mechanics, Gantha performs scientific computing assignments with a view to improving air quality (indoor and outdoor) by modelling pollutant and odour dispersion and defining solutions to bring structures and facilities into compliance with current standards.
In addition, in the area of industrial risks (fires, explosions, accidental gas leaks), Gantha uses state-of-theart fluid mechanics and thermal modelling tools to define solutions aiming to reduce risks at industrial sites.

Requirements in regard to acoustics and fluid mechanics can only increase in the future”.
While continuing its R&D partnerships with the Pprime Institute, Gantha will now be able to offer its services to all Artelia’s clients, both in France and internationally.
