The contract includes execution of civil works, construction of a roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam (volume of 30,000m3), a 10km tunnel, powerhouse and switchyard. Work is scheduled for completion in 29 months.
The JV comprising Astaldi (60%) and Peruvian construction company Graña y Montero (40%) was awarded the contract by mining firm Minera Buenaventura .
