A $46.4 million expansion of the Bradley Lake hydroelectric project in Alaska has moved a step forward with news that the Board of Directors of the Alaska Energy Authority has approved the project.

The Associated Press and the Alaska Journal of Commerce reported that the board voted unanimously to approve the project, which will allow the AEA to investigate development and finance options for the Battle Creek diversion project – which would add around 37,300MWh per year to Bradley Lake’s production.
