• Jeremy Gorick has been appointed joint managing director of UK cement-based materials manufacturer Flexcrete. He will work alongside Paul Bennison. In his new role, Gorick (left of the picture with Bennison) said he is looking to expand the business, as he considers there to be a great deal of potential for growth in the core market of concrete repair and protection.
• Yokogawa UK has announced the appointment of Ian Dawson as project manager of the company’s systems group. Based at the company’s headquarters in Cheshire, he will be responsible for managing and monitoring the progress of projects involving Yokogawa’s safety systems and distributed control systems. He will also be responsible for training engineers in project skills.
• black-veatch has announced the appointment of two directors to its European division. David Nickols has been made managing director of Binnie Black & Veatch. He will be responsible for the division’s consultancy business, which serves the water, energy and information markets. Mike Hinge has been appointed managing director of Paterson Candy Refurbishments, the arm of Black & Veatch subsidiary Paterson Candy that provides refurbishment and asset renewal services to the UK water and wastewater industry.
