Austrian energy company TIWAG-Tiroler Wasserkraft AG has signed an alliance contract for the main construction phase of the Imst-Haiming hydropower plant on the Inn River.
The construction will be carried out by a consortium consisting of Swietelsky Tunnelbau GmbH, Ing. Hans Bodner Bau GesmbH & Co, and Implenia. The project includes a 14km waterway with a surge tank, tailrace, inlet and outlet chambers, and a tailwater reservoir.
The Imst-Haiming contract follows an early contractor involvement (ECI) phase, which allowed the project team to refine planning and assess construction options with potential partners.
The ECI process helped establish strong collaboration early on and enabled a more accurate project estimate.
