SN Aboitiz Power’s plans for a hydropower complex in the Ifugao province in the Philippines have taken a step forward with the company signing a framework agreement with the municipal governments of Aguinaldo, Lagawe and Mayoyao.

According to local media, the deal, signed on 4 October, covers the all aspects of collaboration for the development and operation phases of the project.

Currently in the permitting and feasibility study stage, the project would be the first hydropower complex in the province if it gets the go ahead.  The complex consists of the 120MW Alimit and 20MW Ollilcon plants. Plans for third plant, a 250MW pumped storage facility, have been placed on hold as a result of market constraints, the Business Mirror reported.
