The La Barrancosa and Condor Cliff hydro plants, to be located on the Santa Cruz river, will have combined capacity of 1700MW and require investments over US$1B. Offers are due on December 27 and the winner is expected to be announced on March 17, 2008. Consortia who have so far expressed interest are:
IMPSA, Corporación América and Construções e Comércio Camargo Corrêa; Isolux Corsán and Andrade Gutierrez; Techint, Grupo Roggio, Esuco and Supercemento; Electroingeniería, IECSA and José Cartellone; Hidroeléctrica Futaleufú, Odebrecht and Aluar Aluminio Argentino; and Panedille Argentina.
