The 220kV transmission line was not complete when commercial operation started at the project in July 2010, and the scheme had been operating on a temporary low-voltage transmission line. As of 16 September it began operating on high-voltage.

The rated output of the two turbine generators is approximately 200MW when operating at full capacity. However, due to limited availability of water resources, they are currently producing a capacity of 100MW.

The greenfield run-of-river hydro is operated by Allain Duhangan Hydro Project Limited (ADHPL), a subsidiary of Malana Power Company Limited (MPCL), a joint venture between Bhilwara Energy Limited (BEL) and SN Power.
