The news marks the end of a three year project that has seen crews replace the plant’s equipment with three turbines and generators with a total capacity in excess of 3.4MW.

Work was coordinated by USBR and the Bonneville Power Administration with the aim of providing an overhaul of the project’s interior while maintaining its appearance from the outside.

New electronic control panels are installed out of view on the main floor of the power house, while the new generators are smaller and located on two lower floors, said project manager Steven Jarsky.
