According to New South Wales Utilities Minister, Frank Sartor, dam levels are back up to 41.3%, equating to an additional 82B litres of water.
Warragamba, Sydney’s main dam, has risen by 2.4% to 36.8%, while the Tallowa dam in the Shoalhaven has reached 100% capacity.
The Upper Nepean catchment saw falls of 140mm, while 120mm fell over the Woronora catchment and 80mm at Warragamba.
The rains come as welcome relief to the Australian city, as the inflow provides more than two months worth of additional water supply.
