On December 6th, Preformed Windings opened a new manufacturing facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, marking a major expansion for the high-voltage diamond coil manufacturer. The new unit, a 11,000-square-foot addition to the company’s existing 19,000-square-foot site, increases production capacity by 60% to meet rising global demand.
The grand opening featured speeches from CEO James Stevens and Pablo Valverde, Deputy CEO of the International Hydropower Association, highlighting the significance of the expansion. Jake Richards, MP for Rother Valley, officially cut the ribbon, recognizing the facility’s contribution to the local economy and the UK manufacturing sector.
Guests, including government officials, customers, and industry partners, toured the facility to observe the company’s advanced production methods. Preformed Windings specializes in high-voltage diamond coils used in motors and generators, serving global clients such as OEMs and service providers.
