RMA Companies (RMA) has announced its acquisition of HydroGEOPHYSICS, Inc. (HGI), a Tucson-based geophysical consulting firm. The acquisition strengthens RMA’s Subsurface Imaging Division by adding HGI’s advanced geophysical services. Since August 2021, RMA has acquired 14 firms nationwide to build a platform focused on testing, inspection, and infrastructure services.
For over 30 years, HGI has provided advanced geophysical solutions for industries such as dam and waterway projects, mining, oil and gas, and natural resource exploration. The company operates globally from offices in Tucson, Irvine, and Richland, specializing in subsurface imaging and groundwater assessment using 2D, 3D, and 4D geophysical methods. HGI’s expertise includes optimizing mining recovery, detecting pond leaks, and assessing dams.
