VG Power was founded in 2002 and has been active in the Scandinavian markets, employing around 50 staff. The business focus of the enterprise has been on design and manufacture of new generators for hydro power plants, but also on modernisation, rehabilitation, upgrading, as well as service and repair of electrical equipment for existing hydro power plants. Sales of this business were around US$12.6M per business year.
The planned transaction is under the reservation of anti-trust approval. Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation is a Group Division of Voith and has a workforce of around 2600 employees and sales of around US$758.5M in the past business year.
