Voith has announced that it’s asset and workforce management software OnCare.Asset is now available for the hydropower industry.
The app-based software solution has been designed to facilitate the maintenance management of hydropower plants – from planning, servicing and documentation through cost control to spare parts management. It offers reliable planning and monitoring of key performance indicators and ultimately secures the timely initiation of maintenance activities, says Voith, with the software application offering an easy-to-operate user interface, clear functions and a high usability.
Lack of maintenance data and data transparency can lead to inefficient maintenance processes, extensive administrative efforts and diminishing availability of hydropower plants. Voith says OnCare.Asset enables customers to collect and process data in a centralized software solution whereby high administrative efforts are avoided, and data transparency is secured.
“With OnCare.Asset, customers achieve a high level of system availability while substantially reducing maintenance and operating costs. When introducing intelligent digital solutions including an asset management software like OnCare.Asset, plant operators can reduce maintenance costs by at least 10 percent,” stated Felix Lippold, Global Product Manager Voith Hydro. OnCare.Asset is based on Voith’s IIoT platform OnCumulus, and can easily connect with other applications on the platform, such as OnCare.Acoustic or OnCare.Health Hydro. Voith’s IIot platform OnCumulus is based on open-source and highly standardized technologies to provide fast, reliable and secure access to data from local machines and systems in the cloud, as well as fast provisioning for value creation.
