The Associated Press of Pakistan reported that the feasibility study will assess existing operating conditions and look at options for refurbishment of electro-mechanical equipment. WAPDA is looking to increase output at the facility by a further 200MW.
WAPDA awards contract to study Mangla project upgrade
The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) in Pakistan has reportedly awarded a Rs164M contract to global engineering firm MWH and Neespak of Pakistan to study the potential to upgrade the 1000MW Mangla power project.
