Work is being carried out by main contractor VUJE Trnava of Slovakia in conjunction with Mavel of the Czech Republic. While Mavel supplied a vertical Pelton turbine, governor, butterfly valve and hydraulic equipment, VUJE provided all the other equipment including an Alconza generator, electrical and control systems.
The second phase of the project, located some 150km from Yerevan, is expected to be completed within 12 months.
