China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited (CSAIL), a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pakistan's National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) to establish a student internship base at the Karot Hydropower Project.
The MOU outlines the provision of annual 4-6week internships for students in relevant majors, commencing next year. Throughout their internships, participants will delve into state-of-the-art modern hydropower technology and contribute to fostering collaboration in training technical talent.
The 720MW Karot hydropower project in Pakistan was the first hydropower tie-up developed by the China Three Gorges Corp under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It began commercial operation in June 2022.
